Man denied Canadian visa, commits suicide

New Delhi | A 31-year old Indian man committed suicide as he was denied Canadian citizenship despite living there with his family for 11 years.

Vijay Sherawat, an MBA from India was living with his Canadian wife and one-year old daughter in Canada for 11 years. He was then asked to return to India on some technical grounds and could not enter in Canada again. He was living in Delhi for one and half months at his fathers’ house in Delhi.

Vijay became mentally disturbed due to his Canadian visa denial. He was found hanging from ceiling fan on Friday and was rushed to Din Dayal Upadhyay hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. In his suicide not he has clearly mentioned that he has committed suicide as he could not go back to his wife and daughter in Canada
