Anil Ambani files defamation case against brother Mukesh Ambani

After a Reliance group split, there is a fresh twist in relationship between Ambani brothers. Younger bother Anil Ambani has filed a defamation case of Rs 10,000 CR against eleder brother MUkesh Ambani.

Anil has claimed in his case that brother Mukesh Ambani’s comments in an interview with The New York Times were defamatory. In an interview to the leading American Newspaper, Mukesh said that a brother Anil Ambani was involved in  ntelligence gathering through a network of lobbyists and spies in New Delhi.

Anil Ambani has alleged that the comments of Mukesh Ambani in NYT interview were false and defamatory.  The lawsuit against Mukesh Ambani has been filed in Bombay Court about a month ago.

The relationship between Anil and Mukesh Ambani soured after the death of their father Dhirubhai Ambani who was founder of India’s biggest Reliance Industries. The duo agreed to split from family business in 2005.
