Manjunath was coming home in May 2002 when his car lost control and hit a tree injuring his spine badly. He was paralysed neck down after the accident and was in US hospital with no relative near to take care of him.

Manjunath was sent back to his home country India on March 5, 2008 but he is not accepted by his family in Karnataka as now he is burden for them and they cannot take care of him. His family did not turn to see him in New Delhi Safdarjung Hospital where he is landed after his arrival from US.

Manjunath is basically from Koppal Karnataka. His family do not want to see him because they fears that authorities may force them to take Manjunath back home. Manjunath’s family says they cannot take care of him as he is on ventilator. Manjunath wants to meet his mother desperately but is not fortunate enough to see her yet.

Once Manjunath was a ray of hope for the family after he got a job in US based company but now with paralysed body he is dumped by his own family and so lying unattended in Delhi hospital.
