Paneer Bhurjee
Ingredients
2 large chopped onions
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
3 chopped green chillies
1 large tomato , chopped finely
250 gms crumbled Indian cottage cheese (Paneer)
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp black pepper powder
2 tsp yoghurt
4-5 tsp oil
½ tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp dry fenugreek leaves (Kasturi methi)
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnish
Method
1. Heat oil in thick-based pan and add cumin seeds and when they start spluttering add ginger garlic paste
2. Add chopped onlons and fry till it turns pink in colour.
3. Add tomato and cook for 2-3 minutes.
4. Mix turmeric, redi chilli powder and coriander powder in yoghurt.
5. Add yoghurt and salt in a gravy and cook for 2 minutes.
6. Add paneer , black pepper and slightly hand-crushed kasturi methi.
7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
