Ten 'EASY' steps to stay healthy

Everyone in today’s world wants to know easy steps to stay healthy. Like me and you everyone loves to be healthy but find excuses to skip exercise session, of eating junk food, for being addicted to anything.

I am listing some points which did wonder's on me and I wish it will be helpful for your healthy living too.

So let’s get started …

1.  Any  food items with the last three words as “OSE”( Glucose, fructose) increases sugar level  so be careful and read ingredients before buying any food item.

2.  If you have use sugar, use jaggerry or brown sugar instead of normal white sugar.

3.  Go  for walk everyday. Usually 60 minutes of walk everyday is fair enough out of which 30  minutes of   brisk  walk is healthy. The best way to force yourself to walk is, to drop your  vehicle 15 minutes away from your destination. This way you have no other choice but to walk  to reach to your destination.

4.  Healthy mind plays key role in healthy living. We often feel sick when we are stressed and  tensed with something. Meditation is the key to keep your mind healthy and stress free.  Every morning 30 minutes of meditation will have miraculous effect on your body.
 
5.  Moderation is key for healthy living. If you are using wheat flour to make “Chapattis”, mix  wheat flour with maize flour or jowar(Sorghum) flour or bajra (Pearl millet) flour.

6.  Like me, many people loves potatoes like anything. So don’t force yourself to stop eating  potatoes but rather add potatoes with green vegetable. This way you can atleast reduce your  starch intake.

7.  Try to maintain your average body weight (avoid major changes in your  body weight)

8.  Replace consumption of white bread with whole meal or brown bread.

9.  Start your meal with glass of water. This way your stomach gets little full with water and  so you will eat less. Do not drink water immediately after finishing your meal. Wait for  atleast 15-20 minutes and then have water.

10.  Detoxify your body by consuming light food and liquids once in a week. The main idea of  detoxing is to make your body free of all kind of toxins by drinking plenty of water and  fruit juices.
