Borewell trapped 3-year old Suraj is no more
Jaipur
Suraj Banjara, a three-year old boy who fell into deep borewell in the Nemidi village of Jaipur on Wednesday evening was finally pronounced dead on Friday night. The rescue team was working day-and-night to save this little boy and finally managed to reach Suraj after digging parallel pit near the borewell. The boy was then taken to the hospital immediately but pronounced dead after examination by the doctors.
Rescue operation to save this little boy had been delayed due to loose sand and an accident in which a manually operated machine ran over some workers injuring them severely.
The state government has announced a compensation of Rs.2 lac for Suraj’s distraught
family.
NRI Hoteliar to invest Rs.45 billion in India
US based NRI Sant Singh Chatwal is planning to invest Rs.45 billion for setting up chain of hotels in India. Chatwal owns many hotels in US, Europe and Thailand under the name of Hamshire Hotels and Resorts.
Chatwal thinks India is still lacking in hospitality sector so wants to develop that sector by setting up star hotels by 2009. His group acquired land in major cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad and negations are on in Mumbai city.
Chatwas was formerly employed with Indian Air Force and migrated to the US in 1980 and started his career with chain of restaurants.

Tata life science and technoloty declares 50 % tax free dividend
Tata Mutual Fund has declared 50% tax free dividend in its Life Science and Technology fund, Rs. 5.00 on share of Rs. 10 face value. The record date for the same has been fixed as June 29, 2007.
